Description:

In 1995 the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) modified the Marine Fisheries Statistics Survey (MRFSS) in the party/charter mode. To evaluate an alternative methodology for obtaining catch and effort data, a side-by-side comparison was made to provide a method of assessing the accuracy/quality of interviews obtained from charterboat anglers.
