  High tide flooding (HTF) is the overflow or excess accumulation of ocean water on low lying land at high tide. Above-average tides can trigger high tide flooding and disrupt coastal communities. This type of flooding, which can occur on sunny days and in the absence of storms, creates public safety risks and lasting impacts.
