Description:In August of 1996, Maryland DNR allocated $10,000 of unspent Coastal Cooperative Act money (award NA56FGO461) to ASMFC to develop an eel FMP. I have asked for and received two no-cost extensions to December 31, 1997 to allow ASMFC to complete the objectives of the original grant. These objectives have been achieved with the completion of a joint meeting of the American Eel Plan Development Team and the Technical Committee and the production of a set of workshop findings and recommendations for eel research and monitoring. Enclosed is the final report from ASMFC.
