Description:

The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Bureau of Marine Fisheries identified four important marine species whose commercial fisheries are not adequately being sampled for biological data. These species and their commercial fisheries are important resources managed under the Interstate Fisheries Management Program of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission and each of the four species is managed under an ASMFC Interstate Fishery Management Plan.
