Description:Objectives: 1) Monitor abundance, length frequency, and population size of juvenile Atlantic sturgeon in the lower Delaware River. Use small mesh gill nets to establish the abundance of small, pre-migratory sturgeon. 2) Identify important habitats through sonic tracking. 3) Collect tissue samples for DNA analysis and spine samples for age and growth. 4) Develop an age / length key and apply it to previous catches to determine age composition.
