Description:

During this reporting period, a total of 857 river herring, approximately 3-1/2 times last years run, were recorded entering Lower Shawme Lake of Sandwich, MA. No juvenile were observed exiting the lower Lake area. Schools of juvenile alosids were observed approximately 2.4 kilometers downstream, however. Stocking and assessment efforts will continue in this system.
