Description:This study was performed to document: 1) the species presently using the denil fishway at Bloede Dam and their relative abundance and frequency of use; 2) the species assemblages present in the area immediately downstream from the fishladder and 1.5 miles upstream at the next blockage at Simkins Dam; 3) the utilization of this new fishway by pre-spawning adult blueback herring stocked downstream from the fishladder entrance; and 4) reproduction of the stocked herring.
