Description:Studies have shown that Hyperspectral Microwave Sounding (HYMS) could potentially enhance atmospheric retrieval of temperature and water vapor and provide resilience to Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). As part of the NOAA BAA program to demonstrate hyperspectral microwave sounding capabilities, Spire undertook 4 airborne campaigns of a hyperspectral airborne instrument (SERMON) in different configurations to demonstrate and assess potential impacts.
