Description:In 2021, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Mussel Watch Program (MWP) conducted a comprehensive assessment of legacy organic contaminants across the Mid-Atlantic coastal region. This effort focused on evaluating the presence, distribution, and concentration of legacy organic contaminants in bivalves, comprised of mussels (Mytilus species) and oysters (Crassostrea virginica).
