Description:In 2021, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Mussel Watch Program (MWP) conducted a comprehensive assessment of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in coastal bivalves across the Mid-Atlantic coastal region. This effort focused on evaluating the presence, distribution, and concentration of CECs in mussels (Mytilus spp.) and oysters (Crassostrea virginica).
