Description:

This Technical Attachment can be considered as a revision to NOAA Technical Memorandum NWS ER-45, "Forecasting Type of Precipitation." The revision is made possible by the availability of an additional winter of data (1971-72) that could be analyzed along with the one winter (1970-71) of data available for the original study.
