Description:The grain-size distributions of suspended material collected from Lake Michigan were measured with a HIAC particle counter. The Lake Michigan were measured with a HIAC particle counter. The Lake Michigan samples appear to have relatively more large particles than do oceanic samples, but the difference may be due to differences in the instruments used to measure the particles.
