Description:

This project used acoustic and optical remote sensing to map the seafloor in a portion of the Gulf of Mexico along Florida’s coastline, which was suspected to be the Paleo-Suwannee River Channel, to investigate potential cultural heritage sites. Geomorphological maps were produced at multiple spatial scales useful for stakeholders such as archaeologists, fisheries managers, and decision-makers in contexts like management and conservation.
