Description:This Environmental Assessment/Regulatory Impact Review analyzes proposed management measures that would apply exclusively to pollock catcher vessels (CVs) using pelagic trawl gear and tender vessels in the North Pacific Observer Program. The measures under consideration include alternatives that would allow an electronic monitoring (EM) system to supplement existing observer coverage. The purpose of this action is to advance cost efficiency and compliance monitoring through improved salmon accounting and reduced monitoring costs.
