Description:This report will assess and illustrate the role of long-term marine ecosystem observing programs in state marine management and policy by focusing on the CalCOFI program. By analyzing and visualizing California state agencies’ use of CalCOFI efforts, this project examined the contributions of the program to the understanding of marine ecosystems and development of management and conservation policies.
