This plan for weather radar was prepared by the Interdepartmental Committee for Meteorological Services of the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Meteorological Services and Supporting Research in response to a Bureau of the Budget request for a study to determine how to use national weather radar resources most effectively and economically. The st1:1dy was to address itself to both synoptic network and local uses, appl ication of remoting equipment, standardization of operational procedures, and equipment required in various geographic and climatic regions.
