  This report describes the second in a series of cooperative U.S.-U.S.S.R. ichthyoplankton surveys conducted off the U.S. west coast from 48°-40 o N. A similar report, based on the first of these cruises in April-May 1980, has already been produced (Kendall and Clark 1982). These surveys are designed to determine seasonal and spatial distribution of ichthyoplankton as background information for more detailed studies on early life history of fishes of the area.
