Description:As part of the ongoing research and development of on-demand fishing as described in the Draft Ropeless Roadmap, in November 2023, NOAA Fisheries convened an On-Demand Interoperability Workshop, composed of experts from NOAA Fisheries, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), U.S. state agencies and other key stakeholders to host a workshop to facilitate the development of standards for acoustic communications and data standards to support on-demand fishing.
