Description:The Pressure Jump Indicator is an instrument used to detect rapid, shortperiod rises in - atmospheric pressure. Such pressure rises or " jumps, " have been found to occur frequently in the atmosphere in an organized manner, representing a well-defined line that passes over a given area. It has also been found that the majority of severe local storms (including tornadoes) occur with the passage of pressure Jump lines.
