Description:

This report was prepared by an Ad Hoc Group for Tropical Cyclone Research (AHG/TCR) under the direction of the OFCM Hurricane and Winter Storms Operations Working Group (WG/HWSO). It addresses many of the issues raised in Congressional hearings, and provides a review of the research requirements of the government agencies concerned with tropical cyclone analyses and warnings. In addition, the plan summarizes current relevant research at government and university laboratories and presents an assessment of additional work required.
