Description:Climatic relative frequencies of various amounts of precipitation are presented for 6-, 12-, and 24-h periods. These relative frequencies were determined from observed precipitation data based on a 13-year sample. Values are given for approximately 240 stations in the United States for precipitation amounts of greater than or equal to .01, .2S, .SO, 1.00, and 2.00 inches. The precipitation frequencies are presented in tabular form; however, analyzed maps for the contiguous United States have also been included for the probability of .01 inches or more of precipitation.
