Description:

The numerical weather prediction model, developed by Shuman and Hovermale, has been reformulated to accommodate the use of a semi-implicit integration method. The derivation of the finite difference equations for the new model is given in this paper. A technique is presented for solving the system of simultaneous equations that arises from the derivation.
