Usingamultiproxyreduceddimensionmethodology,wereconstructﬁeldsofArabianSea summerwindstresscurlandIndianmonsoonrainfallanomaliessinceearlyHoloceneusingseasurface temperature(SST)proxies(Mg/Caandalkenones)from27locationsscatteredacrosstheequatorialPaciﬁc. Reconstructionsofsummerwindstresscurlrevealpositiveanomaliesof ∼30%greaterthanpresentday oﬀthecoastlinesofOmanandYemenat10ka,suggestingenhancedoceanupwellingandanenhanced monsoonjetduringthistime.Positivewindstresscurlanomaliesintheseregionscontinuedbutweakened to∼12%greaterthanpresentdayat6ka.Windstresscurlanomaliesincreasedbyabout8%from6to
