Description:

During the past year, the Federal departments and agencies which engage in weather activities or use weather information have joined together to consider their needs and programs. Their cooperative efforts have resulted in this plan for better use of Federal resources in providing effective weather services to the Nation. This Federal plan for Fiscal Year 1966 includes all Government weather services and those research and development programs whose immediate objective is to improve weather services. Within this area, only military activities involving special military security considerations have been excluded.
