Description:The National Marine Fisheries Service began annual studies in 2001 to evaluate the efficacy of transporting Snake River fall Chinook salmon smolts from Lower Snake River hydropower projects. In 2001 and 2002, we tagged hatchery subyearling fall Chinook salmon at Lyons Ferry Hatchery and released them in the Snake River at river kilometer 254, 81 kilometers above Lower Granite Dam. Here we report adult returns from fish recovered during late summer and fall 2006.
