Description:In 1999, National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) researchers continued evaluation of a surface trawl containing a passive integrated transponder tag (PIT tag) detector for estuarine detection of PIT-tagged juvenile Pacific salmon Oncorhynchus spp. The evaluations, which began in 1995, were conducted in the Columbia River estuary at Jones Beach, River Kilometer (RKm) 75.
