Description:In an effort to increase passage and survival forjuvenile salmon, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in conjunction with regional fishery managers, installed a removable spillway weir (RSW) at Ice Harbor Dam on the Snake River in spring 2005. During 2007, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) continued evaluation of operations with the RSW at Ice Harbor Dam to optimize fish passage efficiency and survival.
