Description:The NHRL seven-level, circularly symmetric hurricane model is used in an attempt to ascertain the processes by which a weak tropical cyclone undergoes rapid development into a hurricane. Experimental results reveal that rapid development is primarily a manifestation of the formation of a deep moist layer.
