Description:This study considers the value of oil and gas resources of the ocean as well as marine fish resources. Emphasis is placed on primary output of goods and services, i.e., the estimated unit price times the quantity of output, that produces national income and is performed in the ocean at the first transaction point, excluding related or integral processing, distribution or other onshore functions. Economic rent, secondary activities or opportunity costs are noted but not discussed. Rather, projections are based on primary output in constant 1978 dollars.
