Description:Bait is a vector for the introduction of invasive species into state waters. Controlling bait to prevent the spreadof invasive species requires two approaches to protect natural resources: stopping the use of invasive bait;and addressing how bait containers introduce aquatic invasives. State invasive species prevention programsare intended to control what is put into the waters of a state so that the state’s natural resources flourish.
