Description:The Harvesting Systems Branch of the National Marine Fisheries Service, Pascagoula, Mississippi Laboratory conducted studies of shrimp trawl bycatch reduction methods aboard the F/V SHELLY October 14-23, 1991. The studies were divided into two parts. Diver evaluations of prototype finfish excluder designs were conducted on October 14 and 15, and the remainder of the study period was used to conduct comparative fishing tests.
