It is the first comprehensive study on the size and characteristics of the market, the economic impact of charter fishing, and investment in charter boats. This information will help captains develop more cost-effective marketing strategies and negotiate better business loans, and help state and local tourism groups develop targeted charter fishing promotions. Information on the industry's economic impact will help state agencies and local governments invest effectively in developing and improving charter boat facilities.
