  • Description:
The behavior of heavy metals in the environment is not a new issue. But no comprehensive conference had been devoted to silver. Widespread societal use and recent analytical advances make it an ideal time to assess the environmental cycling and potential impact of anthropogenic silver. This conference provided a forum for up-to-date research results on sources, biochemistry, environmental cycling and biological effects of silver in the global environment. These proceedings contain extended abstracts of 24 presentations.
