Description:This report summarizes the activities of the Delaware Sea Grant College Program in fiscal year 1977-78, in which more than 30 individual research and education projects were carried out in seven major program areas, involving faculty in seven of the eight colleges at the University of Delaware. In addition the Sea Grant Program received a pass-through grant from NOAA's Office of Ocean Engineering to plan, conduct, and report on a national working conference on measurement of currents. The proceedings of that conference are listed in this annual report under Publications. Another add-on to the core program was received from the Office of Sea Grant's national project, Nearshore Sediments Transport Study. The Delaware phase of the national project was devoted to the study of rip currents.
