Description:

With the construction of floating tire breakwaters during the past several years, a serious problem of tying material failure has arisen. In an effort to find a tying material to eliminate these failures, in-situ testing was carried out in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. The tests, which ran from January 1976 to November 1976, were monitored at the University of Rhode Island's Bay Campus.
