Description:The objective of this study is to analyze the productivity of North Carolina's major commercial fisheries (menhaden, shrimp, crabs, and flounder) to aid in evaluating the feasibility of intensifying existing fisheries and/or developing new species to supplement or replace existing ones. Fisheries resources are examined in economic terms; focus is on production aspects and distribution of income among producers.
