Description:Maintaining accurate records of all dives is the subject of this paper in the diver education series. A diver's log book is a permanent record of training, experience, and qualifications and is not a private or confidential document. Its contents will be reviewed at some point by instructors, employers, safety inspectors, or court officials and the entries must be neat, complete and factual. Guidelines for setting up such a record book are given here.
