Description:This annual report for 1972 has been one of further growth in ocean oriented activities for EDAL (Engineering Design and Analysis Laboratory). However the growth in Ocean Engineering at the University of New Hampshire has been more than equaled by the growth in marine activities in other parts of the University. This past year more than fifty faculty members together with their students and supporting staff members carried out marine research programs with external funding support approaching one and one-half million dollars. There are strong indications that our University wishes to become a marine university as well as a land grant university. We trust you will enjoy reading this annual report of our activities in ocean engineering as much as we and our students enjoyed the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction from doing the work.
