Description:Yellow perch is a popular sport and eating fish in the north central region of the U.S. A serious decline in the Great Lakes fishery began in the early 1970s and has never reversed itself. Consequently, interest in the commercial culture of yellow perch has intensified in recent years. Considerable funds have been invested in developing commercial culture practices. This study examines marketing issues affecting yellow perch aquaculture.
