"The purpose of this project is to conduct construction, restoration and enhancement activities intended to re-establish barrier islands and back barrier marsh habitats in Plaquemines parish in the segment know as Pelican Island. The Project is funded by NOAA through the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act.
