Description:In this brief for both the professional and the amateur, under ice conditions and safety factors are reviewed. Separate chapers cover equipment, dive organization/conduct, emergency procedures, and the management of hypothermia (as well as cold-induced stress and injury). There is also an outline for an ice diving course, which, in view of the greatly increased risks with ice diving, is a recommended first step for the neophyte.
