Description:"This report describes results of a pilot study involving use of data contained in the California Habitat Restoration Project Database (CHRPD) to characterize salmon habitat restoration projects and to model restoration costs. We supplemented data from the CHRPD with project data acquired through forms sent to contractors. Our analysis yielded some significant results regarding the effects of project characteristics, prevailing economic conditions, and landscape characteristics on restoration costs. However, data limitations hampered our ability to conduct multivariate analysis and to fully consider the potentially confounding effects of often highly correlated cost factors"--Abstract (p. 16).
