Description:This source book comprises a series of science experiments and activities designed for secondary school students taking biology, chemistry, physics, physical science or marine science courses. Each of the three major sections--chemistry, biology and physics--addresses concepts generally covered in those courses but also incorporates aspects of marine science. Each section features major concepts, e.g., density, pH, photosynthesis, respiration, and sound, that are supported by student activites. Each activity contains background reading for teachers and students, a materials list, procedures for completing the activity and extension ideas. Some of the activities are challenging; some are simple. At the end of each concept division, references, resources and education competencies are listed.
