Description:The University of Michigan Sea Grant investigation resulting in this report was conducted with four major objectives in mind: 1) To assess the level of water quality in Grand Traverse Bay and identify areas of diminished water quality. 2!)To evaluate the relative importance of contaminant sources to the bay. 3) To examine trends in water quality in the bay and identify any potential problems in the future. 4) To establish a limnological baseline for future comparison and to aid in the development of a water quality model for Lake Michigan. This report is the result of five years of sampling and analysis by the University of Michigan Sea Grant Program on Grand Traverse Bay.
