Description:This educational guide discusses the major groups of marine animals known to be hazards to the diver, focusing on tropical waters. Marine animals that sting, abrade, lacerate, puncture, bite, those with venomous bites, and some miscellaneous hazardous creatures are described (no illustrations are provided); some freshwater animals are included as well. Hazardous plants and the dangers of diving in polluted waters are also discussed.
