Description:FINMAN (Fishery INstitutional MANagement-Training Simulation Model) is a microcomputer-based program which simulates decision-making responses at three levels within the fishery management institution: (1) fishery management rules, (2) fishery agency general budget allocations, and (3) research budget allocations. The program also allows for a variety of fishery types, rule development structures, and levels of authority over the fishery. FINMAN serves as (1) an analysis program for investigating system responses, and (2) an educational program for demonstrating system responses under a variety of situations. The program is written in BASIC with versions available for the Apple IIe, Apple IIc and IBM-PC microcomputers.
