  Great Bay Coast Watch volunteers in New Hampshire are involved in a monitoring effort of harmful algal blooms. This 2003 report to the New Hampshire Coastal Program describes their efforts to (1) recruit new volunteers and provide training for both new and existing volunteers for phytoplankton monitoring; (2) continue quality sampling and data collection; (3) continue education and outreach efforts through meetings, workshops, and volunteer demonstrations aboard ferries; and (4) develop a digital photo library of local phytoplankton species.
