Description:The Great Bay Coast Watch (GBCW) mission is to protect the long-term health of New Hampshire's coastal environment through volunteer monitoring and education programs. Supported by a grant from the New Hampshire Coastal Program, GBCW volunteers monitor water quality at 21 sites around Great Bay and its tributaries; and monitor phytoplankton at six sites. This report outlines GBCW tasks, results and events, includes a manual on standard operating procedures for phytoplankton monitoring, and is accompanied by video clips that assist volunteers with phytoplankton identification.
