Description:Constraints in the designation of terrain for uses can appear in the form of budget limitations for development, rules, and regulations which limit the uses of sites, minimum space needs for certain types of uses such as parks and housing, locational requirements for certain land uses, physical-chemical-biological dynamics that must be preserved, standards of site suitability for particular uses, certain measures of user satisfaction, regulations on ownership or controllership, standards on environmental quality, and total amount of land available. From the variety of ways and means of limiting land use, it is obvious that no single model is adequate to cover all combinations of possible constraints.
