"This report examines the potential economic benefits of pursuing alternative harvest strategies for the Eastern Georges Bank haddock resource. Pursuit of this line of inquiry was prompted by the potential market impacts of the size of the 2003 year class of haddock; once thought to be 900 million fish but now assessed at 365 million age-1 fish. Even at this smaller size, the 2003 year class is large enough to have a material affect on haddock markets"--Executive Summary.
